I shot this with my Canon Rebel T1i with f/6.3 for 1/80 sec. I had it on ISO-100 at 55mm with no flash. I took one my mulin backdrops out in the yard and laid it on the ground because the trees in my back yard proved to provide GREAT soft lighting! That and I love this kid!
I'm not sure who's photo this is, but it works well in many areas, especially expression. One distracting element (that is to say, it draws away the eye's attention from the subject) it the tangent created at the top of the photo with your nephew's head and the edge of the frame. The eye gets trapped there trying to define the space and the head shape. A way to avoid this is to crop in tighter this could also help reduce attention to the bright parts of the arm as well. Also, watch out for letters in any photo - they scream until they are read and could care less if it has anything to do with the subject at hand. Finally, excellent choice not using flash!
ReplyDeleteCute photo, I love the bubbles coming out of his mouth.
