Lauren Kwasniewski Assignment #3 Compression

I spent this past weekend in Zion, UT  (my very first visit). I was amazed by the natural beauty of the park but I was also intrigued by the ghost town of Grafton which is located about 7 miles from Zion National Park. I only had one memory card the entire weekend and took hundreds of pictures. I saved nearly all of my photos as "normal" compression JPEG in an effort to save as much room as possible. I am quite pleased with how my photos turned out and can't wait to share more!

I suppose I better throw in a picture of the actual park for good measure, eh?

  1. Great shots, Lauren. Zion and Grafton are two of my favorite places. (Did you know that Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was filmed in and around Grafton? Also, Grafton residents (burned or drowned) a woman as a witch.)

Great angle on Lower Emerald. It's really tough to get the sun gleaming on the water without washing out the background.
